About Jesse Maizels, PMHNP-BC

As a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, I am licensed and trained to assess and diagnose mental health conditions, provide supportive therapy, and write medication prescriptions where appropriate. Additionally, I have a broad range of experience working with clients across the lifespan and with many different presenting concerns including, but not limited to depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, PTSD and ADHD. I also have a special interest in providing care to LGBTQIA+ individuals and aim to provide nonjudgmental care to people from all walks of life.

I became interested in working in mental health from a very young age after witnessing people close to me struggle with mental health issues. I am passionate about working to destigmatize mental health and increase accessibility to care. I know how the complexities of each individual’s history and current life situation can impact mental, emotional, and physical well-being and tailor my approach to meet these needs.

In my free time I enjoy hiking, listening to podcasts, riding my motorcycle, and spending time with my cat, Tempest.
